Local Youths Head to the BC Amateur Golf Championship - July 2009
Lee Klas of Fairmont Hot Springs is going to Duncan, BC to play in the 2009 BC Amateur Championship and represent his home club, Riverside Golf Course. Klas, still a classified as a junior golfer, teed it up at the amateur zone qualifying rounds in Cranbrook and St. Eugene Mission the weekend before his high school graduation. After the first day, Klas was in the hunt and after the second day, he sealed the deal by firing the low round of 71 for the day.
Cam Richardson of the Golf Courses at Fairmont Hot Springs is off to play in the BC Amateur in Duncan. Richardson secured the second alternate position at the zone qualifiers in Cranbrook and St. Eugene Mission two weeks ago. This week he learned that he will now join Lee Klas to represent this Zone at the Amateur event beginning July 13th.

Fairmont Hot Springs Offers to Donate Land for Performing Arts Centre - May 2009
The owner of Fairmont Hot Springs Resort has offered to donate the land for a new performing arts centre in the Columbia Valley. Ken Fowler Enterprises, which purchased the resort last year and is planning a billion-dollar expansion, is prepared to incorporate the arts centre into the resort’s new design.

Fairmont Hot Springs Acquires Riverside - January 2008
Fairmont Hot Springs (FHS), announced today that it has acquired the Riverside Golf Resort. The acquisition includes the Riverside golf course, an 18-hole Championship course, clubhouse, and 1000 acres of developable land. KFE is creating a Master Plan for the $1 billion expansion of Fairmont Hot Springs and it will include Riverside into its review and evaluation of the 3000 acre resort.
